Trust The Journey is a dedicated children nonprofit organization with a mission to support children living with disabilities, challenges, and medically complex conditions. As a local children's charity, we are committed to raising funds and providing direct financial assistance to families in need—ensuring every child has access to the care, support, and opportunities they deserve.
At Trust The Journey, our purpose is to operate as a caring, community-driven children nonprofit organization that raises funds to donate or gift to families with children who face physical, emotional, and medical challenges.
We provide financial support to families who demonstrate a clear financial need and are caring for a child with disabilities or complex medical needs. Our support covers:
- Therapy services (occupational, speech, physical, behavioral)
- Educational services and specialized learning support
- Recreational and inclusive activity programs
- Medical supplemental services and caregiving support
- Functional medical facility-related expenses
- Essential medical and adaptive equipment
Our work helps remove financial barriers, so families can focus on what matters most—supporting their child’s health, development, and well-being.
Who We Serve
As a local children's charity in the Medina Ohio area, we proudly serve families in our community who:
- Are caring for a child with a disability or complex medical diagnosis
- Require financial assistance to access vital services or equipment
- Seek inclusive educational, therapeutic, or recreational opportunities for their child
- Need supplemental support not covered by insurance or existing resources
Each application is reviewed with care, compassion, and confidentiality.

Trust The Journey Academy
Trust The Journey Academy is a non-profit private school in Northeast Ohio designed specifically for K–8 students with disabilities and learning differences. Grounded in compassion and driven by lived experience, our mission is to provide a nurturing, inclusive, and therapeutically integrated educational environment where every child can thrive.
We proudly serve students with IEPs across Cuyahoga, Lorain, and Medina counties—combining academic excellence with trauma-informed care, therapeutic supports, and a strengths-based model that celebrates each child’s unique journey.

Extended School Year (ESY) Program – July
Keep Learning Going This SummerTrust The Journey proudly offers an Extended School Year (ESY) Program this July, created to help students maintain skills, strengthen confidence, and continue making progress. Our ESY program supports learners who benefit from routine, targeted instruction, and a consistent, supportive environment.
Through engaging activities and individualized learning opportunities, students receive specialized academic, social, and behavioral support tailored to their needs. ESY at Trust The Journey is more than summer learning — it is purposeful guidance designed to keep students moving forward.
